1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Regjohns Investments website and all services operated under the Regjohns Conglomerate brand. Regjohns Investments is a subsidiary of Regjohns Conglomerate, based in Lusaka, Zambia. Regjohns Investments operates as a subsidiary business unit of Regjohns Conglomerate.

By accessing or using any part of this website ”” including the Tech Store, Car Hire service, Fleet listings, or any future service ”” you agree to be bound by these terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Definitions

• "We," "Us," "Our" ”” Regjohns Investments and/or Regjohns Conglomerate.
• "You," "User" ”” Any person who accesses the website or uses any of our services.
• "Tech Store" ”” The online retail section of the platform where technology products are listed and sold.
• "Car Hire" ”” The vehicle hire service operated through the platform.
• "Platform" ”” The entire website, including all pages, services, features, and functionality.
• "Order" ”” A purchase or booking submitted through the platform.
• "ZMW" ”” Zambian Kwacha, the currency used for all transactions on this platform.

3. User Accounts

• You may browse the website without creating an account. However, placing orders or making bookings requires you to log in.
• Account registration requires a valid email address and password. Authentication is managed through Firebase (Google).
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Any activity under your account is your responsibility.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms or is used for fraudulent purposes.
• Deleting your account removes your profile data from our database. However, your Firebase Authentication record is not automatically deleted ”” contact us at info@regjohns.net to request full account deletion.
• We do not sell or share your account data with third parties.

4. Tech Store: Product Orders

• All product prices displayed on the platform are in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and are subject to change without prior notice.
• Product availability is displayed on the platform and may change at any time. We reserve the right to cancel orders for items that are out of stock.
• Orders submitted via WhatsApp are treated as purchase requests and are not confirmed until acknowledged by our team.
• Orders processed through the Pesapal payment gateway are subject to Pesapal's own terms and conditions in addition to ours.
• Payment must be completed in full before goods are dispatched or made available for collection.
• We do not store card or mobile money credentials ”” all sensitive payment data is handled directly by Pesapal.
• Once payment is confirmed via Pesapal's Instant Payment Notification (IPN), the order is recorded in our system and a confirmation is issued.
• Your shopping cart is stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data will clear your cart. We are not responsible for lost cart data.

5. Tech Store: Delivery & Collection

• Delivery availability, timeframes, and fees will be communicated at the time of order confirmation.
• Regjohns Investments is not liable for delays caused by third-party courier services.
• Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon handover to the courier or upon collection.
• For click-and-collect orders, goods must be collected within the agreed timeframe. Uncollected goods may be restocked.

6. Tech Store: Returns & Refunds

• Items may be returned within 7 days of purchase if they are in original, unused condition with original packaging.
• Defective items must be reported within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence.
• Refunds for eligible returns will be processed within 7”“14 business days via the original payment method.
• Custom orders, opened software, and perishable goods are non-refundable unless defective.
• Regjohns Investments reserves the right to refuse a return if the above conditions are not met.

7. Tech Store: Warranties & Liability

• Products sold carry the manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
• Regjohns Investments does not extend additional warranties beyond those provided by manufacturers.
• We are not liable for indirect losses, data loss, or damage arising from product use or malfunction.
• Our maximum liability for any product-related claim is limited to the purchase price of the item in question.

8. Car Hire: Eligibility

Our fleet includes Economy & City Cars, SUVs & Family Vehicles, Luxury & Executive Cars, and Vans & Transport Logistics. Professional drivers are available as part of some hire packages.

• You must be at least 21 years of age to hire a vehicle.
• You must hold a valid Zambian or internationally recognised driver's licence for the class of vehicle hired.
• Valid government-issued identification (National ID or Passport) must be presented at vehicle collection.
• Drivers with fewer than 2 years of licensed driving experience may be subject to a surcharge or rejection at our discretion.

9. Car Hire: Bookings & Confirmation

• A vehicle booking is only confirmed upon written or verbal confirmation from Regjohns Investments via WhatsApp, phone, or email.
• Submitted bookings are recorded in our system and reviewed by our team ”” submission alone does not guarantee availability.
• We reserve the right to reject any booking at our discretion.
• All booking details ”” including dates, times, vehicle type, driver (if applicable), and agreed rate ”” must be confirmed in writing before hire commences.

10. Car Hire: Payment

• All hire rates are quoted in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) unless otherwise stated.
• A deposit may be required to secure a booking; this will be credited toward the total hire cost.
• Full payment is required before or at the time of vehicle handover unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We accept mobile money, bank transfer, and other methods as communicated at the time of booking.
• A refundable security deposit may be required before vehicle collection. The deposit may be used to cover damages, traffic fines, excessive cleaning, late returns, or other costs incurred during the hire period.

11. Car Hire: Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations made 48 or more hours before the hire date: full deposit refund.
• Cancellations made 24”“48 hours before the hire date: 50% of deposit forfeited.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the hire date: full deposit forfeited.
• No-shows without prior notice: full deposit forfeited.
• If we cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. vehicle breakdown or safety issue): full refund or an alternative vehicle will be offered.

12. Car Hire: Vehicle Use

• Hired vehicles must only be driven by the named hirer unless additional drivers are explicitly approved by us.
• Vehicles must not be used for racing, illegal activity, off-road driving (unless booked as off-road), or towing.
• Cross-border travel is not permitted without prior written consent from Regjohns Investments.
• Smoking inside any vehicle is strictly prohibited. A cleaning fee will be applied for violations.
• Pets require prior approval before being transported in any hired vehicle.
• The hirer is liable for all damage that occurs during the hire period, including damage caused by negligence or misuse.
• In the event of an accident, both the police and Regjohns Investments must be notified immediately.
• Vehicles are provided with a full fuel tank and must be returned full. A refuelling charge applies if the tank is not full on return.
• Late return of a hired vehicle may incur additional charges calculated at the standard daily or hourly hire rate unless otherwise agreed in writing with Regjohns Investments.

13. Car Hire: Professional Driver Services

• Where a professional driver is provided, they operate under the direction and employment of Regjohns Investments at all times.
• The hirer may not instruct the driver to violate traffic laws, exceed agreed working hours, or undertake duties outside the scope of the booking.
• We reserve the right to withdraw driver services at any time if safety or conduct concerns arise.

14. Payments & Pesapal

• Online payments on this platform are processed through Pesapal, a third-party payment gateway. By using this service, you also agree to Pesapal's terms and conditions.
• We do not store, access, or log your card or mobile money details. All payment data is handled directly by Pesapal's secure systems.
• Payment confirmation is issued automatically once Pesapal's Instant Payment Notification (IPN) verifies the transaction.
• In the event of a payment dispute, contact us at hire@regjohns.net or info@regjohns.net with your order or booking reference number.
• Our system is designed to prevent duplicate payments. If you are charged twice, contact us immediately for a refund.

15. Wishlist & User Data

• Wishlisted items are saved to your account and persist across sessions when you are logged in.
• Cart data is stored locally in your browser and is not tied to your account. It will be lost if you clear your browser data.
• Your name, phone number, and email address (provided during checkout or booking) are stored locally in your browser and used only to pre-fill future forms for convenience.
• You may request deletion of any stored data at any time by contacting info@regjohns.net.

16. Intellectual Property

• All content on this platform ”” including text, images, logos, user interface design, and code ”” is the property of Regjohns Conglomerate unless otherwise stated.
• The REGJOHNS name, logo, and brand identity may not be reproduced, copied, or used without prior written permission.
• Product images belong to their respective manufacturers where applicable.

17. Prohibited Use

Users must not:

• Use the platform for fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful purposes.
• Attempt to access admin or restricted areas without authorisation.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform's code, content, or data.
• Submit false bookings, fake orders, or fraudulent payment information.
• Harass, impersonate, or cause harm to other users or Regjohns staff.
• Regjohns Investments reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, terminate bookings, or suspend user accounts at its discretion if a user violates these terms, engages in fraudulent behaviour, or acts in bad faith.

18. Limitation of Liability

• To the extent permitted by Zambian law, Regjohns Investments is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our platform or services.
• Our maximum liability in any claim is limited to the value of the transaction in dispute.
• We are not liable for service interruptions, server downtime, payment gateway failures, or events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

19. Force Majeure

Regjohns Investments shall not be held responsible for any delay, failure, or interruption in the performance of its obligations where such failure arises from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, storms, etc.).
• Power outages or utility failures.
• Internet, server, or hosting infrastructure failures.
• Labour strikes or industrial action.
• Government actions, regulations, or restrictions.
• Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies.
• Supplier disruptions or third-party service failures.
• Any other unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control.

In such cases, affected obligations will be suspended for the duration of the event, and Regjohns Investments will make reasonable efforts to resume normal operations as soon as practicable.

20. Privacy & Data

• Personal data collected through this platform is used solely to process orders, bookings, and communications with you.
• We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and database services. Firebase's privacy policy also applies.
• We use Google Analytics (GA4) for anonymous usage tracking. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics services.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• You may request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing info@regjohns.net.

21. Governing Law & Disputes

• These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia.
• All disputes arising from these terms or the use of the platform are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia.
• We encourage users to contact us directly to resolve any disputes before pursuing legal action.

22. Changes to These Terms

• We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.
• Updates will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page.
• Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
